Beginning

<p>Teacher greets students; </p><p>students respond to greeting and take their places. </p><p> Warming up</p><p> - Teacher introduces lesson objectives to the students. (Activity to revise the vocabulary from the previous lesson) Teacher asks a pupil to come to the front. Then asks him/her close his/her eyes. Asks another pupil to say hello. The pupil with the closed eyes tries to guess who it is. - Students listen to the Hello song from the previous lesson and try to sing.</p> Track 05 CD 1&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

Middle

<p>Presentation and practise </p><p> (Activities to present and activate the new language)</p><p>Listen, point and repeat. Pupils’ books closed. The teacher puts up the flashcards, one at a time, and say the corresponding words. The pupils repeat, chorally and individually. Points to each flashcards in random order. Asks individual pupils to say the word. Asks the rest of the class for verification.</p><p>Pupil’ books open. The teacher plays the CD. The pupils listen, point to the pictures and repeat the words. Plays the CD again pausing after each words. The pupils repeat, chorally or individually. AUDIOSCRIPT: mummy, daddy, brother, sister</p><p>Draw and say. The teacher reads the words. Asks pupils to repeat. Explains the activity. The pupils draw the family members in the space provided. Teacher allows the pupils some time to complete the activity. Checks round the classroom, providing any necessary help. The pupils then, in the role of the child, present their family members. F.e. This is my mummy. This is my daddy.</p><p> Sing the family song!</p><p>Teacher puts up the mummy and daddy flashcards, point to them and says: This is my mummy. This is my daddy. The pupils repeat. Then plays the CD. <p>Reflection </p><p> (an activity to consolidate the language of the lesson) The pupils, in pairs, take turns saying a family member’s name and the other has to guess who is it. Demonstrates this herself first. </p><p> P1: Ulan! </p><p> P2: Your daddy? </p><p> P1: No! </p><p> P2: Your brother? </p><p> P1: Yes! </p><p> Ask students to look at lesson objectives they set at the beginning of the lesson and think and say what they did well in the lesson and what needs improvement.
