Introduction of the topic. “Proverbs” method. Try to guess the title of the lesson according to the proverbs. Learners read the proverbs and discuss. Then share with their opinion and guess the title of the lesson.   Power Point Slide 1

<p>&nbsp;Activity 1. Division into the groups. “Captain and crew” Task: Imagine that you have two planes, which are ready to fly to unusual places. Choose two captains of the planes. And then captains will explain the vocabulary from previous lesson one by one. If somebody’s answer is correct, captain will take them in a crew. Learners listen to the explanations of captains carefully and name the words correctly.</p><p> Activity 2. Engage. “Multimedia” method. “Wien Diagram”. Task. Watch the video about two unusual places and find the commons, differences using Wien’s diagram. Learners watch the video and work in groups to find commons and differences. Learners use Wien’s diagram to describe two places. Formative assessment: Group assessment “Two stars and one wish” Activity 3. Discussion. “Six Hats of E.Bono” method. Task. Discuss on the topic “People can change the nature” using different colored hats. Each hat has its own function. When you wear the hats you should be the person depended on hats’ functions. Learners talk depending on colors of hats. Learners participate in discussion actively. Learners assess themselves by standing near to line. Formative assessment: Self-assessment “Continually assessment” Activity 4. Introduction into the grammar. Task. Look at the table and read the rules carefully. Then fill in the gaps with modals. Learners read the table with grammar. Learners complete the task. Formative assessment: Self-assessment “Assessment cards” </p><p> Activity 5. Time for thinking. “Brainstorming”. Task. Try to guess the picture and answer using modals (should/shouldn’t have to). Come to the blackboard and take sticky tape one by one. Each sticky tape has its own prompts. You should name the full picture. Learners take sticky tape, then think about full picture, and try to guess full picture. Learners imagine the full picture and answer using modals.
